About

ALA

Arkansas League of Artists

Who We Are

The Arkansas League of Artists is an eclectic and diverse organization formed to promote the visual fine arts in Arkansas to all ages across multiple disciplines. The League consists of visual artists and art enthusiasts from all over the state, who gather to learn through the demonstrations of techniques, the exploration of materials and mediums, and from the sharing of collective experiences and knowledge.

What We Do

As a Non-profit Organization the League promotes artistic education and the importance of the artistic community. We provide artists with opportunities for exposure through organized exhibitions and competitions, various workshops, scholarship awards for High School Students entering a College or University, and funds for students to be used for art instruction at the Arkansas Art Center Museum School.

About our Juror

Our Juror for the 1st Annual ALA Art Show will be Townsend Wolfe, former director and chief curator of the Arkansas Arts Center in Little Rock. You may read more about him at the bottom of  the Gallery.

The Gallery Space

The first annual ALA Art show will be held at the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies in the Arkansas Studies Institute. You can view the map below to learn more about its location.
